About Us
The Uncle Sam Chapter
was organized in April 2001 when two Army National Guard Warrant officers from
the Albany New York Area wanted to improve the Warrant Officer environment and
provide more positive visibility in the Capital district area.
The initial membership
for this new chapter was over 60. There
was a lot of enthusiasm and energy to bring Warrant officers from the Active
Army, the Army Reserve, and the Army National Guard together.
Membership
included fellow Warrant Officers from over 400 miles away to join. Meetings were and continue to be positive
and the chapter has done a lot of work for Soldiers and their families. Annual
contributions to needy families and donations for deployed Soldiers are just a
couple of the initiatives.
